Mega World 4×4 Adventures offers training courses to 4×4 vehicle owners, which include basic skills, a stall start, ascending and descending, and how to approach various obstacles.
Mega World 4×4 Adventures Training:
- 4×4 Training - basic skills to operate a 4 wheel drive vehicle safely and confidently.
Different Kinds of 4×4 Vehicles – Permanent (started out their designs as purpose built 4×4′s) and Part-time 4×4′s (not originally built to be 4×4′s). - 4×4 Vehicle Clearance Parameters – approach and crossover angle, tactics and procedures.
Stall Start, Ascending, Descending – step by step practice.
Sand – deflate tyres to at least 50%, aiding in traction, gives better flotation. - Grass – long grass, check for grass seeds in radiator resulting in overheating.
- Water – walk through obstacle before attempting to drive through, do not attempt a water crossing when water level is higher than top of the rim, or knee height.
- Mud – dry mud affect wheel balance, and can damage seals on diffs, gearboxes, etc.
